Ratri Suktam (Samavidhana Brahmana)

Ratri Suktam (Samavidhana Brahmana, 3:5:2)

That Mahamaya who is Supreme Brahman, who manifests Herself again and again to slay Asuras, who bestows bliss to Jivas, who is pure, who is adorned with peacock feathers and armed with a noose, who is ever youthful, undecaying and is the Supreme Shakti propitiated by virgins, I seek solace in that Ratri Devi.
At Her behest, may Surya protect our eyes, may Vayu protect our five-fold life breath, may Vishnu protect our senses, may Varuna protect our body fluids, may Chandra protect our heart, and may Bhu Devi protect our body.

Thus ends Ratri Suktam from Samavidhana Brahmana.
